Time For The GOP To Stop Being The Best Of The Worst
There has never been a time in the country’s history when political parties have been so divided. Democrats have shifted significantly to the far left, while Republicans have maintained a conservative stance in the center.
As a conservative, I am personally frustrated with conservative politicians and influencers who talk about and threaten to challenge the far left’s extreme positions but ultimately take no action. When you step back and examine any individual situation or issue, you notice that the leftโs stance is often more outrageous and vocal. In today’s society, where attention spans are short and fleeting, loud and extreme viewpoints tend to attract more attention than calm and steady ones.
News coverage has been evolving for decades. True journalism is nearly nonexistent today. We no longer see news reported by neutral journalists; instead, it is presented by television personalities who strive to outdo one another in popularity and recognition.
The change in how daily events are reported has resulted in a noticeable leftward bias in mainstream media. This bias does not necessarily indicate that leftist views are correct; rather, it reflects the tendency of these views to be more flamboyant and attention-grabbing. This aligns with the way todayโs news personalities aim to present themselves.
Over the decades, hairstyles and clothing styles have evolved, and the current societal trend is to embrace everything, even ideas that are clearly wrong and, in some cases, genuinely perverted, as acceptable.
The left often promotes the idea that being unconventional is synonymous with being correct. They frequently use terms such as “progressive,” “acceptance,” “diversity,” “equity,” and “inclusion,” suggesting that these concepts should be universally embraced in all contexts. However, these terms cannot serve as guidelines for every situation, despite what the left might imply.
Not everything is acceptable; there are many instances where the views of the left should be completely rejected. The left’s concept of diversity can often be seen as divisive. Attempting to change everything merely for the sake of change is a recipe for disaster, and conservatives must demonstrate this as an undeniable truth.
Equity, as presented by the left, is often mischaracterized. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives they advocate are essentially quota systems that disadvantage qualified white individuals. These initiatives prioritize hiring in corporate environments and admissions in universities based on skin color or sexual orientation, disregarding merit and experienceโqualities that should be central to such decisions.
Iโm not sure who wrote this synopsis about Republicans and Democrats, but I have used it before to describe the two parties, so here it is again.
The Republicans want money. The Democrats want power. The Republicans use power to get money. The Democrats use money to get power. The ideology of the Democrats drives their donor funding. The donor funding of the Republicans drives their ideology.
This narrative needs revision. It seems that Democrats are in control, while Republicans are simply trying to catch up. Rather than promoting their own core values, Republicans often find themselves on the defensive, highlighting the absurdities of Democratic ideas instead of emphasizing the common-sense principles that are lacking in today’s society.
The direction the Democrats are taking is not sustainable. Much of the leftโs rhetoric is not only absurd but has become tiresome. Not everything they propose is acceptable, and simply rejecting the nonsensical ideas they promote is a good starting point, but it’s not sufficient.
Their delusions must be overcome with loud and continuous proclamations of practical civility and the fact that morals still exist. Brief, one-time speeches won’t accomplish this.
The party must come together and make a unified stand against the Democrats. Itโs time to put an end to the idea of “battered conservative syndrome.” You cannot be a doormat unless you allow yourself to be one, and itโs time for Republicans to take the offensive for a change.
Democrats have exploited the tendency of Republicans to think independently. Unlike Republicans, who often have internal disagreements, Democrats tend to follow a party line without question. This loyalty can lead them to support policies that are clearly flawed, all in the name of maintaining their power.
Up until now, mindless unity in politics has primarily benefited the Democrats. It’s time for that to change. Republicans need to set aside their petty differences and concentrate on the bigger picture. Being correct is still a demonstration of strength. After all, the alternative is being incorrect.
The Democratic Party has revealed itself to be a chaotic spectacle. While it remains loud, its more obnoxious aspects are now apparent. Republicans need to take advantage of this situation and stop playing defense. Itโs time to be proactive. Just get in the car and drive; let’s watch the Democrats fade into the rear-view mirror as they struggle with the truth.
