Imagine Complaining This Loudly About Trump Fixing The Reflecting Pool

A couple of tweets about the Reflecting Pool had me laughing my ass off this morning.

First was this one:

Which drew this comment:

And it did for two reasons.

First, I grew up in a construction family. My dad, my uncles and most of my summer work was in construction. I grew up on a working farm down in Mississippi.

When something broke, you fixed it. When you needed a shed or a barn, you built it. You didn’t need to hire someone to tell you to weld a bent or broken trailer tongue or how to rebuild a broken Pittman arm on a hay bailer.

You saw the problem and went to work.

The second chuckle came from how this exposes the federal bureaucracy and its associated array of consultants and NGOs as complete time wasting bullshitters rather than actual doers.

Trump embarrasses the entirety of DC because he sees an issue and just fixes it.

He just goes directly at the problem without flooding the DC “do nothing” zone with millions of dollars for consultants and bureaucrats to spend most of their time being either coming up with something inconclusive or finding all the reasons something should not be done.

And the “do nothing” cogitators and navel gazers hate that because they have no idea how do do anything other that study the problem for years to never reach a conclusion – or if they do, it is inevitably the wrong, most expensive, one. These are people who literally have no skills other than doing nothing of value.

They even hate people who are successful and actively work to prevent any of those people from entering their ranks. Their jobs include stopping anyone from standing out because if they do, their success makes the rest of the hive look bad.

DC is a Democrat town, so it is fair to conclude that this is also why Democrats hate successful people. Successful people make them look bad because it exposes they know literally nothing of value. DC politicians are masters of navigating and manipulating the business of political systems but not much else. They exist to serve themselves and their needs, not the needs of the American people.

And President Trump is cleaning up DC.

He’s like the old Home Depot slogan – Helping doers get things done.

And a clean DC doesn’t dovetail with the Left’s story of America’s alleged decline.

They hate that. They love talkers and hate doers.

That’s why the hate all of Trump’s cabinet because it is a collection of doers.

They get things done.
