Don’t Let Them Drive a Wedge: Election Realities the Media Won’t Admit

Here are random thoughts about next week’s Midterm elections.

• If any person says they’re Christian and supports James Tallarico to represent Texas in the U.S. then ask them whether they’re United Methodist or Episcopalian. Not to paint with a broad brush….but they probably belong to one of those two denominations. Members of those churches are very liberal and vote Democrat always. Context matters. Don’t let the Democrats or the corporate media trick you into group think.

• Before he died, Rush Limbaugh said (correctly) that the corporate media’s main objective was to do everything it possibly could to drive a wedge between Donald Trump and his supporters. And even though Limbaugh died almost six years ago, he’s STILL correct. Look at corporate media. Look at paid ads on your Facebook feed. The media has put out one story after another the past few months trying desperately to get Trump’s voters to turn on him.

• U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff, a Democrat who represents Georgia and is running for reelection, is putting out ads griping about the high cost of health insurance and promising to do something about it…..never mind the fact that the reason health insurance is so high is because of Barack Obama, also a Democrat. This is what Democrats do. They promise to fix a problem. They end up making the problem worse. They won’t take the blame for it. They know voters have short-term memories. Then they come up with more plans to supposedly fix the problem that they created….but then their stupid solution only makes the problem worse. It brings to mind this quote from Ronald Reagan: “The more the plans fail, the more the planners plan.”

• There’s a lot of things that Trump hasn’t gotten his way on because of checks and balances from Congress and the Supreme Court. Congress won’t even pass things that Trump — not to mention his voters — want. So why do people keep calling these protests against Trump “No Kings Rallies”?’
