Christians Should Never Apologize For Putting Trump In Office; Here’s Why
Christians were hypocrites to put President Donald Trump in office because he’s a womanizer, a scoundrel, and a crude and inconsiderate man — or at least that’s the media’s favorite new talking point.
Forgive me, but what were Christians in America supposed to do?
Vote for a Democrat whose views and policies are antithetical to their own? Or vote for another career politician Republican who talks a good game when he or she runs for office but turns into a wimp the moment they show up in Washington, D.C.?

Christians turned to Trump because other Republicans routinely let them down.
Remind me: Which president helped get Roe v. Wade overturned? Which president has helped the school choice movement? And which Republicans stall on commonsense conservative bills like The Save America Act? The Republicans currently in Congress, that’s who.
I’ll give Democratic politicians this: They fight for their voters. Republican politicians who are beholden to wealthy donors do not.
And let’s be honest…..most of those other career politicians are just as much scoundrels as Trump is. They just don’t get as much press. Joe Biden dished out vile insults at voters as he ran for office in 2020. When he first ran for president in 1988 — back when we had a somewhat more honest media — Biden dropped out because he got caught plagiarizing.
Biden behaved inappropriately with women in public, and one said he did a lot more than that.
The corporate press spared no effort this past week to report tawdry and uncorroborated accusations against now-deceased Republican U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, but the same media took similar accusations against former President Barack Obama and swept them under the rug (does the name Larry Sinclair ring a bell?).

It boggles the mind how people who voted for Bill Clinton 30 years ago have the nerve to lecture Republicans today about Trump’s personal shortcomings. Clinton lied under oath about an intern who lived under his desk and satisfied his every sexual need. And, remember, Clinton committed perjury not because he was embarrassed but because he was trying to obstruct justice.
The Senate should have removed Clinton from office but didn’t. And don’t forget that he used Arkansas State Troopers as pimps when he was governor there. Clinton was a sex addict whose addictions could have subjected him to blackmail and jeopardized the national security of this country. Yet the media was his strongest ally the entire eight years he served in office.
Trump is a scoundrel, but I’ve yet to see any convincing evidence that he broke any laws.
Jimmy Carter was probably the most moral man to ever live in the White House — yet he was a pushover and an atrocious president who nearly drove this country into the ground.
The same corporate media actively campaigned against President George H.W. Bush in 1992 and then resorted to dirty tricks to try, unsuccessfully, to keep his first-born son out of the White House. That same corporate media now lionizes the Bushes as fine and outstanding Christians because, according to all accounts, they support Democrat James Tallarico in Texas and are doing everything they can to sink the MAGA movement.
The first Bush lost reelection because he caved to Democrats on raising taxes. The second Bush tried too hard to buddy up to Democrats and make friends with them — he even publicly called Ted Kennedy of all people an honorable man. As a thank you, Kennedy and the other Democrats went out of their way to destroy W’s agenda.
The Bushes are gullible when it comes to dealing with Democrats. Trump, despite his faults, sees Democrats for what they really are and treats them accordingly.
Trump’s character faults aren’t the problem, and they never were. Vice President JD Vance, for instance, is one of the most noble people to ever serve as Vice President, but last week, podcaster Jennifer Welch savaged him as a terrible husband and father and an “anti-Christ style sociopath.” Vance is none of those things. He’s tarnished not because of his character but because he espouses the wrong political beliefs.
Mitt Romney is now a darling of the Left and revered as a man who put principle over party for voting to remove Trump from office. Yet when he ran for president in 2012, Democrats and the media did everything they could to assassinate his character. Liberals made fun of him and demonized him because he’s Mormon. But after he turned against Trump, liberals today have no problem with him — or his religion.

Economist Milton Friedman once said that “one of the great mistakes is to judge [government] policies and programs by their intentions rather than their results.”
We must apply similar principles to the people we put in office. We must care less about which church they attend, whether they’re married, whether they’re faithful to their spouse, whether they’re warm and friendly, whether they said hi to your mama and daddy at Dairy Queen and smiled big when they did so, etc……and care more about the results they deliver.
Those are the standards most of us apply to plumbers, architects, and, especially, military generals and high school football coaches, even though they may have sketchy characters of their own .
Make this the new metric for Republicans: results over personality.
Say it with me and say it out loud — results over personality, results over personality, and, last but not least, results over personality.
