Joe Biden Uses Wokeism to Hold Transportation Grants Hostage
President Joe Biden wants to handcuff $5.5 billion in transportation grants to progressive priorities.
But there is a way to fix this nonsense, or so says U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).
The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) recently determined Biden’s demands are subject to the Congressional Review Act (CRA).
The CRA requires agencies to report new rules to Congress. That gives Congress a chance to overturn these rules.

Cruz said in a press release that he will file a CRA resolution to challenge Biden.
In one example, projects “that have not sufficiently considered equity and barriers to opportunity in their planning, as determined by the Department, will be required to do so before receiving funds for construction.”
In another, “projects that have not sufficiently considered climate change and environmental justice in their planning, as determined by the Department, will be required to do so before receiving funds for construction.”
The press release goes on to say that “these items would not have passed in Congress.”
BIDEN’S WOKE NONSENSE (AND HYPOCRISY)
U.S. Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX-21) and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) last year published a report that documents how Biden and members of his administration force woke ideology upon the military.
These practices, Roy and Rubio said, threaten U.S. security.
The report, titled “Woke Warfighters,” reveals how Biden uses the military to promote critical race theory, sex reassignment procedures, and drag queen story hours for children. Biden does this as he protects woke military leaders from accountability.
State Department officials traveled overseas recently and, in so doing, defied Biden’s executive order to monitor their greenhouse gas emissions.

The State Department’s two destinations: the 2021 United Nations (UN) Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Scotland and the 2022 UN Climate Change Conference in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
These bureaucrats could have spared Mother Earth more of their carbon footprints by attending the two conferences virtually. They also could have spared the taxpayers of more of their hard-earned money. These officials chose not to do so.
