The Silence in the National Media is Becoming Deafening as Trump Gets Key Concessions from Iran

The level of divisiveness and partisanship in American politics is unprecedented on many levels. While there were obvoiusly intense political battles prior to Trump becoming President in 2016, the nation generally came together during previous wars and crises, as seen most notably after 9/11. Today, the left, like a petulant child, simply fights and opposes nearly everything that the 47th President says and does. Even when Trump has successfully gotten a judicial reform bill passed, signed veterans choice legislation on health care, and expanded the critically important earned income credit and child tax credit, the left refuses to praise anything the President does.

This mindset is also pervasive in the still leftist-dominated media, where even with the decline in the legacy press, most networks still have a clear anti-Trump bias. What was most disappointing about the hysteria coming from Democrats and their left-wing allies in the media is that this obsession with trying to destroy the President has led many liberals to refuse to acknowledge reality, even on sensitive national security questions, as seen with Iran. Indeed, even with the Pandemic in 2020 and the recent war in the Middle East, the left and their allies in the media continue to push misinformation and attempt to divide the nation in order to undermine Trump and the MAGA movement.

The failing left-wing media’s attempt to depict President Trump’s successful military strikes in Iran as a failed effort included the usual misinformation and outright lies. Networks were reporting that Trump had no clear exit plan, Iran was still in a military strong position, and other clear falsehoods. One Democratic Senator, Chris Murphy from Connecticut, even seemed to express glee at the idea of Iranian ships trying to bypass the US blockade. The left also did the usual gaslighting about Obama’s failed deal with Iran, in addition to many on the left attempting to downplay the horrors the current Iranian regime inflicts on its own people.

Today, the facts on the ground in Iran tell a very different story than the absurd and false one that the left is trying to spin.

President Trump and the US military have completely destroyed the Iranian regime’s military and missile program. America endured 13 casualties to brave men and women in this conflict, and to destroy an entire nation’s ability to defend itself with a minimal loss of life is an unquestionable and significant success. Iran was also on the verge of engaging in the mass slaughter of their people, the US military action likely saved thousands of lives as well. While the Iranian leadership still has drones and some missiles, the United States is in a very strong position to finally get the kind of meaningful deal that contains Iran’s military and the country’s nuclear program.

The core problem with Obama’s failed deal was that the previous President was seen as weak by the Iranian government and leaders around the world, the US had no credible deterrent after the former Illinois Senator talked about red lines and didn’t enforce them. The ruthless leaders of Iran had no respect for the former President, and Obama’s deal gave the Iranian regime enormous amounts of money without any limitation on the ruthless government’s ability to finance terrorism or develop the country’s conventional military capabilities, including the nation’s dangerous missile program. Biden was equally incompetent, and his administration’s decision to stop enforcing the sanctions on Iran enabled the Mullahs to take in billions when oil prices rose significantly.

President Trump has restored respect for the US around the world, and he has also established a credible deterrent. Nations know when Trump uses words, they matter. Indeed, with Iran reportedly making key concessions on the country’s nuclear program and Trump delivering yet another master class in negotiation, the US seems on the verge of the kind of significant and needed deal to finally take the Iranian nuclear and missile programs off the table for good.
