Simping is out of Control: Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift
According to the Urban Dictionary, simping refers to “When you infatuate over women, allowing them to take over your mindย and cause you to do things for them thatย you wouldn’t normallyย do.”
By the end of this article, you will know what a simp is. You will be the judge as to whether NFL player Travis Kelce is a simp for Taylor Swift.
In 2023, the NFL is the king of American sports culture. Every Sunday in the Fall, tens of millions of Americans watch telecasts of their favorite pro football team in the hopes of a victory. NFL broadcasts still receive the highest ratings among cable television programs.
Personally, I don’t enjoy watching the NFL anymore. Following the NFL’s unpatriotic displays in 2016 during the national anthem and its pandering to BLM in 2020, the NFL lost a lot of credibility and respect from Conservative sports fans.
One of the biggest stars in the NFL currently is Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Kelce made news headlines over the weekend, but it was not for his on-the-field performance. Instead, news outlets reported the supposed budding romance between pop singer Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Swift’s attendance at the Chiefs game caused a social media uproar–especially since Swift is one of the most popular singers in the world. Swift’s YouTube channel has over 31 BILLION views as of this writing, and her Instagram account boasts over 270 million followers.
Not only did Swift attend the Chiefs game, she was seen exiting the stadium with Kelce. After the game, Kelce reportedly rented out an entire restaurant for his family, teammates, and Swift.
It gets worse.
Months before last Sunday’s game, Kelce admitted in an interview that he attended Swift’s July concert in Kansas City. Even better, Kelce also mentioned that he wanted to give a “friendship bracelet” to Swift with his phone number on it. Don’t believe me? Then, watch the video below:
Talk about some major Simp behavior here. Imagine being a grown adult male spending thousands of dollars to attend a Taylor Swift concert. Cringe.
Then about a week before last Sunday’s game, Kelce addressed rumors surrounding his potential relationship with Swift on the Pat McAfee Show. The following quote comes from Kelce’s appearance on McAfee’s show:
โI threw the ball in her court … I told her, Iโve seen you rock a stage in Arrowhead and you might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead. Weโll see what happens in the near future.โ
Any red-blooded man should cringe at the sight of such simping. Kelce is a multi-million dollar athlete and Super Bowl Champion, but he chooses to act like a high school boy simping for the high school prom queen.
But on a serious note, Kelce’s behavior represents a broader issue. The fact is that young men don’t have many truly masculine role models in modern American culture. Where is this generation’s John Wayne, Teddy Roosevelt, or Charles Lindbergh? Young men aren’t given true heroes to look up to. Instead, the American Regime gives us unproblematic, masculine caricatures in guys like Barstool’s Dave Portnoy and Travis Kelce. Whenever we do finally have a truly masculine figure in modern America like President Trump, then Regime media slanders a masculine figure into oblivion.
Kelce may have money and fame, but he lacks one thing: a man card. As the self-proclaimed representative of masculinity, I hereby revoke Travis Kelce’s man card. He can have it back only if he repents of his simp behavior and dumps Swift.
To close out this article, I wanted to remind everyone about how unhinged some of Taylor Swift’s music is. Her music is full of crazy-ex energy and promotes a toxic mockery of femininity to young women:
–Song: Picture to burn
There’s no timะต for tears
I’m just sitting here planning my revenge
There’s nothing stopping me
From going out with all of your best friends
And if you come around saying sorry to me
My daddy’s gonna show you how sorry you’ll be
–Song: Blank Space
Boys only want love if it’s torture
Don’t say I didn’t, say I didn’t warn ya
Boys only want love if it’s torture
Don’t say I didn’t, say I didn’t warn ya
–Song: I Did Something Bad
I never trust a narcissist, but they love me
So I play ’em like a violin
And I make it look, oh, so easy
‘Cause for every lie I tell them, they tell me three
This is how the world works
Now all he thinks about is me
I can feel the flames on my skin
Crimson red paint on my lips
If a man talks shit, then I owe him nothing
I don’t regret it one bit ’cause he had it coming
–Song: mad woman
What did you think I’d say to that?
Does a scorpion sting when fighting back?
They strikeโ
toโ
kill, and youโ
know I will
You know I will
Whatโ
do you sing on your drive home?
Do you see myโfaceโinโthe neighbor’s lawn?
Doesโshe smile?
Or doesโshe mouth, “F*ck you forever”?
Every time you call me crazy, I get more crazy
What about that?
And when you say I seem angry, I get more angry
