The Lie Is Happening Now. Let’s Not Wait (Yet Again) to Look Back to See It
Lies lies lies.
If history is any barometer whatsoever, you can bet your patriot soul they are happening now.
One component of the lying is called atrocity propaganda. It would serve America so very well if we understood what it means, what specific type of lie it is Mockingbird wants us to believe. I keep it simple today and go to Wikipedia for a substantive description:
Atrocity propaganda is the spreading of information about the crimes committed by an enemy, which can be factual, but often includes or features deliberate fabrications or exaggerations. This can involve photographs, videos, illustrations, interviews, and other forms of information presentation or reporting.
The inherently violent nature of war means that exaggeration and invention of atrocities often becomes the main staple of propaganda. Patriotism is often not enough to make people hate the enemy, and propaganda is also necessary. “So great are the psychological resistances to war in modern nations”, wrote Harold Lasswell, “that every war must appear to be a war of defense against a menacing, murderous aggressor. There must be no ambiguity about who the public is to hate.” Human testimony may be unreliable even in ordinary circumstances, but in wartime, it can be further muddled by bias, sentiment, and misguided patriotism.
According to Paul Linebarger, atrocity propaganda leads to real atrocities, as it incites the enemy into committing more atrocities, and, by heating up passions, it increases the chances of one’s own side committing atrocities, in revenge for the ones reported in propaganda. Atrocity propaganda might also lead the public to mistrust reports of actual atrocities. In January 1944, Arthur Koestler wrote of his frustration at trying to communicate what he had witnessed in Nazi-occupied Europe: the legacy of anti-German stories during World War I, many of which were debunked in the postwar years, meant that these reports were received with considerable amounts of skepticism.
Like propaganda, atrocity rumors detailing exaggerated or invented crimes perpetrated by enemies are also circulated to vilify the opposing side. The application of atrocity propaganda is not limited to times of conflict but can be implemented to sway public opinion and create a Casus belli to declare war.
Atrocity propaganda is the appeal to pathos, or to emotion, I explored in “To the American Government: Get Out of Israel’s Way.” It is intended to mix falsehoods with truth in order to ignite anger and the desire for revenge.
Are some things we are seeing over the airwaves true? Yes.
Are all the things we are seeing over the airwaves true? Most decidedly no.
And to pretend that we can sift through it all less than a week into this drama and to know exactly what the truth is and exactly where the falsehoods lie is surprisingly misguided. Why are patriots who have come to distrust the government and establishment media for years all of a sudden going all in with them now?
This is why “I Stand with Ukraine” and “I Stand with Israel” is so very dangerous. It is artificially polarized, binary-trap thinking that practically forces someone to “pick a side,” and pick a side quickly, unless they want to be treated as a terrorist sympathizer. If such tribalism is left unmitigated by logic and reason, we might be lured into a situation where we are supporting the decisions of policymakers who have only their own benefits in mind.
Remember, those folks in Washington, at least most of them, don’t give one damn about us or our patriotism. What they want to do is use and abuse that patriotism against us by riling up a heart of anger and a sense of duty to fight for the innocent.
It’s all bullshit peddled by a bunch of swamp creatures, and if you searched your instincts and foreknowledge about these people, you’d remember who they are and what they stand for.
We’ve Been Here Before
I do not dispute the fact that every country has a right to defend itself. What I do dispute is the way nations like Israel and the United States (the infiltrated version poisoned by the likes of Bush, Obama, and Biden) seemingly create a problem, simply to inject a necessary emotion into the public, simply to manipulate that public’s opinion into practically clamoring for an unjust and unaffordable war.
It is called the Hegelian Dialectic, and if you look back at the pattern of similar situations over the decades, you’ll see the playbook. You’ll see the similarities. And it is this type of mistake so many of us are calling for well-meaning American patriots not to make.
While we all were asleep last night, the collective Mockingbird megaphone, including the NY Post, CNN, Insider, and others, all reported that the Biden administration had backtracked on its assertion of seeing photos of terrorists beheading babies. In fact, this backtracking had already started sometime early yesterday if not sooner. Here is just one sub-headline, from NBC News:

In other words, the supposed President of the United States, in all his dignity, while speaking to the American people about this alleged atrocity, used the lying Mockingbird media as his source, the same source every Tom Dick and Harry uses to spin tales all over the internet.
There were and are other examples of this type of dangerous quick reflex when trying to get information out. There always are when these tragedies happen, when the establishment is determined to feed the shark of emotion inside the public sphere rather than remain patient enough to give the truth. Even non-establishment can fall prey to such need for speed.
We all make these mistakes. Part of the issue is motive, sure. But all independent journalists need to seek accuracy over speed because certainly Mockingbird won’t be doing that. We–and our part in this information war–cannot get conflated with the establishment media and what their motives typically are.
Besides the current state of affairs, such inflammatory impatience most recently happened right there in our current history with Ukraine. And yet there are so many that either don’t remember or refuse to acknowledge it. We must be better than this. There is plenty enough evil to go around over there in the Middle East right now without adding false atrocity stories to it. Such lack of discipline in this war of narratives only pushes America further into a full-scale kinetic war we don’t need to be in. It was a narrative many of us were following way back in the summer of 2022 when all of this Ukraine dirt was still mere “conspiracy theory”:

Now the American people have caught on to the lies surrounding Ukraine, but only after billions and billions of our tax dollars were funneled there and to who knows where else. The establishment duped far too many Americans starting back in February 2022. Too many didn’t even realize it was the same psychological control tactics that are always used on the populace, including with Covid, the race riots of 2022, the January 6 “insurrection,” and so many more.
The media lies. And for some reason too many Americans still fall prey to what has become a shockingly identifiable pattern.
Denzel Washington once gave a scathing yet somehow gentle lecture to the media on this very thing:
“What a responsibility you all have [the media] to tell the truth, not just to be first, but to tell the truth. We live in a society now where ‘It’s just first, who cares? Get it out there! We don’t care who it hurts. We don’t care who we destroy. We don’t care if it’s true–just say it, sell it.’ Anything you practice you’ll get good at…including BS.”
Because of dogged research and the persistence by many citizen journalists, more and more people are waking up to the notion that 9/11 was not at all what they told us it was. There are just too many anomalies, contradictions, and coincidences to believe with certainty that one of the greatest intelligence apparatuses in the world was breached by the men they pinned it on. Simply too many. Americans were psychologically manipulated into giving support to two decades of resource theft and thousands of lives lost.
Regarding 9/11 and its aftermath, I reference Glen Greenwald’s “The U.S. Government Lied for Two Decades About Afghanistan” in my first article on the current conflict in the Middle East. Its subtitle is as equally telling as the main:
“Using the same deceitful tactics they pioneered in Vietnam, U.S. political and military officials repeatedly misled the country about the prospects for success in Afghanistan.”
The article is worth the read, as his research and analysis are spot on. He concludes it with the following, including a final clinching sentence that should make everyone take pause and consider what they are being told to think and feel–by the insidious government-media apparatus we don’t even trust:
Any residual doubt about the falsity of those two decades of optimistic claims has been obliterated by the easy and lightning-fast blitzkrieg whereby the Taliban took back control of Afghanistan as if the vaunted Afghan military did not even exist, as if it were August, 2001 all over again. It is vital not just to take note of how easily and frequently U.S. leaders lie to the public about its wars once those lies are revealed at the end of those wars, but also to remember this vital lesson the next time U.S. leaders propose a new war using the same tactics of manipulation, lies, and deceit.
We Must Remain Sharp
Too many Americans did not in fact learn Greenwald’s “vital lesson” by the time the Russia-Ukraine crisis emerged. And too many Americans are following suit once again now, as if none of these trickeries the infiltrated American government have pulled on us before could possibly apply this time.
True, maybe this situation is different. No two situations are ever 100% identical. But at the very least, aren’t all these things at least worth considering before we dive head first into the latest chapter of a long and disturbing textbook chronicling American involvement in never-ending, resource-depleting, soul-sucking wars? Why are we trusting the Biden administration? Why are we trusting Israel so faithfully?
According to Egyptian sources, Israel was warned of this attack ten days before it happened, and the government completely discounted the threat. It is eerily similar to some of the findings concerning 9/11.
Before the Palestinian militant organization Hamas launched its unprecedented, large-scale attacks on Israel over the weekend, the Israeli government was repeatedly warned that “something big” was brewing from the group that controls the Gaza Strip, an Egyptian intelligence official told The Associated Press.
Yet Israeli officials downplayed the threat from Gaza and instead focused on the occupied West Bank, the anonymous Egyptian intelligence official claimed, the news outlet reported on Monday.
“We have warned them an explosion of the situation is coming, and very soon, and it would be big. But they underestimated such warnings,” the Egyptian official told the AP.
The Egyptian official said that Egypt, which has historically acted as a mediator between Israel and Hamas, told Israel repeatedly that “something big” was being planned.
Is this reliable information? Hard to tell. But it is a piece of the puzzle that must at least be considered as this drama is still in its beginning stages.
While not obvious hard and fast evidence toward anything directly nefarious, these are all anomalies and patterns, among many, many more, that should be a part of every American patriot’s thinking process. We cannot afford to be sloppy. There is an information war to be won, and we have to recognize that misinformation will absolutely be in play. We have to work hard to determine the fake and the true. And most importantly, especially now in these early stages, we cannot allow emotions without reason to influence us to support a war being pushed by bloodthirsty politicians and media who have peddled only lies and destruction for decades. We have learned too much and we have come too far for that.
May everyone named directly or referenced indirectly ask forgiveness and do penance for their sins against America and God. I fight this information war in the spirit of justice and love for the innocent, but I have been reminded of the need for mercy and prayers for our enemies. I am a sinner in need of redemption as well after all, for my sins are many. In the words of Jesus Christ himself, Lord forgive us all, for we know not what we do.
