Democrats’ Newest Plan Against Americans? A Worthless “May Day” Protest

Sigh.

Democrats and their ignorant Ilk just love to bask in the stupidity of wokeism. It’s part of their façade. They need to appear “liberal” in every way, even when they know it is obviously the wrong thing to do.

Ever since Trump was elected for his first term, Democrats have created a constant headwind for him to fight against. False accusations, illogical impeachment challenges, and local courts interfering with federal mandates at an unprecedented rate. During his second term, the headwinds have remained, but a much darker presence has raised its ugly head.

Democrats and liberals have decided that they can stimulate and trigger the radicals within their party through hateful rhetoric and badly hidden references to violence. They smugly know exactly what they are doing, activating radical leftist zombies while acting naïve, pretending to be shocked, and denying any culpability.

Still bad Ideas and ways to destroy American Culture as well as Western Culture run fluid through empty heads. Their newest brainchild is a walkout that closes schools, businesses, and retail outlets on May 1st.

Why?  What will it serve?  Nothing!

This is nothing more than an illusion. An illusion of meaningless wokeness, a mass tantrum of full-grown four-year-olds, who want to damage the educational system of our children, and to disrupt the economy to whatever extent they can. These demonstrations interfere with everyday life of the locations they’re in, obstructing traffic flow, frustrating and angering those not involved, and often damaging property.

On Friday, May 1st, known as “May Day” by the left, over 85 cities across the United States will host planned strikes and actions. Estimates suggest that more than 3,000 actions—such as walkouts, rallies, and marches—are expected nationwide. These events are organized under the “May Day Strong” coalition and focus on the themes of “No Work, No School, No Shopping” to advocate for labor rights and economic justice.

Economic justice? What does that mean? Liberals throw these vague, but nice-sounding terms around that they themselves can’t explain. Are there individual situations that arise where adjustments should be made? Absolutely. But can you just throw the term around as though it encompasses all of society? No.

On their maydayStrong.org website, they have this paradoxical statement:

“On May 1, 2026, workers, students, and families rally, march, and take action across the country to demand a nation that puts workers over billionaires, with many refusing business as usual through No School. No Work. No Shopping.”

Further down on the site, they identify who they are and what their “demands” are.

Who we are:

We are a network of hundreds of organizations and hundreds of thousands of working people coming together with a common purpose: standing together against the billionaires waging a war on working people.

On May Day and Labor Day 2025, we helped anchor more than a thousand events across the country, ensuring our voice and demands were heard: fighting for public schools over private profits, healthcare over hedge funds, and shared prosperity over free-market politics.

We make this country run, and we know how to take care of each other. Our families and our freedoms need defending. Together, we will ensure access to opportunity and a better life for all.

Our Demands on may day:

  • Tax the Rich: Our families, not their fortunes, come first.
  • No ICE. No war.  No private army serving authoritarian power.
  • Expand democracy, not corporate power. Hands off our vote.

The website also contains a manual, which the creators call:

“The Real Affordability Agenda: A Policy & Research Manual To Put A Good Life For Everyone Back Within Reach.”

71 pages of idealistic drivel that couldn’t possibly exist anywhere besides in the mind of a wacked-out liberal leftist. It’s a fantasy, nothing more and nothing less.

These types of demonstrations achieve nothing. When they’re over, leftists will pound their chests and ask did you see how many people and groups participated? However, that is the wrong question.

Most of the lemmings who get involved in these things have no idea what they are trying to achieve. When they are interviewed, they either give an extremely vague, general answer or stare at the reporter asking the question with a deer-in-the-headlights expression.

This demonstration is closing many school districts across the country. In days gone by, that would have been cause for outrage, but the manner in which many school boards and classrooms are run today, missing a day of leftist indoctrination may be a good thing. That said, not having their children in school will inconvenience many parents and households.

Nationwide, some unions are also taking part. The National Nurses Union is one of the few major unions to support the May Day Strike. Earlier this month, National Nurses United President Mary Turner told Payday Report, “Nurses never back away from a fight.”

More than 1,000 nurses at the University Medical Center in New Orleans will initiate a five-day strike beginning on May Day. They expressed frustration over the employer’s refusal to agree to a first union contract after nearly two years of negotiations.

Democrats and the left don’t need an excuse to make fools of themselves. It’s a trait that comes to them naturally. Their belief in so many delusions makes questionable decisions and actions inevitable.

May Day is one such delusion. They’ll make their signs and chant some phrase that reinforces their ignorance, but in the end, all they will achieve is chaos that inconveniences hard-working Americans.
